Buenas noches. Cuánta Alegría cuando decimos “Hay Patria !” Porque estamos seguros de ser Patria, y Patria Bendita, y Patria Libre, y Patria Fraternal, Cristiana, Solidaria.
Orgullosos, alegres, de este día cuando celebramos la Patria en Paz, la Paz que hace la Patria cada vez más Fuerte, y en este Acto en el que rendimos Homenaje al Cardenal Miguel como Pastor de la Reconciliación y la Paz, que nos dio la Bandera de la Reconciliación en aquellos días, caminando, recorriendo Nicaragua, buscando, propiciando, trabajando por la Paz, en Reconciliación.
Homenaje al Pastor y Homenaje a un Hombre que fue un Santo. Hay quienes dicen : Y por qué lo quieren convertir en Santo ? No ! No somos nosotros ! Su Vida és su Santidad, su Vida és su Misión, su Ejemplo, y aquí estamos manteniendo
ese Camino, aunque provoquen, aunque hostiguen. No hay provocación y no hay hostigamiento que rompa a un Corazón fortalecido y decidido a hacer Paz y Bien.
Una frase de San Francisco de Asís : Paz y Bien ! Paz para el Bienestar de las Familias nicaragüenses, Paz para trabajar todos los días por el Bienestar, para luchar contra la Pobreza; que vivir libre de Pobreza és el merecimiento de un Pueblo tan Grande, un Pueblo que ha sabido dar todo, todo, por la Libertad, por la Dignidad, y con Dignidad, y por la Hermandad.
Porque somos un Pueblo Creyente, somos un Pueblo Cristiano y cumplimos ese Mandato : Vivir y querernos como Herman@s. Por eso yo digo : De qué se extrañan algunos de que invoquemos esa Santidad, esa Beatitud, esa capacidad de vivir el Amor que le conocimos al Cardenal Miguel ?
Y hoy que también rendimos Homenaje a una Persona y a un Ser Humano Excepcional que supo dar el paso, el paso que nos permitía hacer realidad, graficar la decisión de Reconciliación del Pueblo nicaragüense, encontrarnos, saber convivir, saber congeniar y, sobre todo, saber acordar, saber consensuar, no imponer, sino acordar y consensuar lo mejor para tod@s.
Cada vez que el Comandante Daniel hace el recorrido por ese nefasto 2018 no dejo de pensar en que el pecado mayor del Ser Humano és el egoísmo y, por otro lado, la vanidad. El egoísmo y esa vanidad que hace creer a algunos, o perder la mente a algunos, y están viendo a un Pueblo que vive tranquilo, alegre, seguro, y de repente quieren derrumbar todo eso, por egoísmo, porque quieren volver a ser, solo unos cuantos, los que disfruten del País que és de Tod@s.
La Paz…! Cómo defendemos, como resguardamos esa Paz, porque nos bendice, Dios nos bendice cuando somos un Pueblo de Paz, que és ser un Pueblo de Dios.
Por eso digo yo, cada vez que recordamos esos momentos, sabemos que hay que luchar dentro de uno mismo contra el egoísmo, luchar por la Cordura que és Ternura, luchar por el Amor que és Vida, luchar por la Paz que és Certeza, no sólo Esperanza, Certeza de que Vamos Bien y de que Vamos Adelante, Siempre Más Allá, como nos enseñó Sandino. Una frase profunda, porque nos llama, nos convoca a tod@s a trabajar más y mejor cada día, y a saber que siempre podemos hacer más, trabajar más, y ser mejores también.
Así que es un buen día hoy para nuestra Nicaragua. La decisión és Reconciliación. La decisión és Concordia, Paz, Hermandad. La decisión és Amor, y el Amor és Fé, és Fortaleza, és el Gran Espíritu que se manifiesta en cada uno de nosotros y que nos llama a ser Mejores… Mejores Ciudadanos, Mejores Revolucionarios, Mejores Pobladores, Mejores Estudiantes, Mejores Mujeres y Varones, Mejores Trabajadores. A ser Mejores en todo lo que hagamos.
La Paz que és Amor, y el Amor és Más Fuerte que el Odio ! Por eso, cuando escuchamos tanta basura y tanta falsedad, sabemos que esa és una expresión diminuta, baja, del Odio, y que no tiene ni cabida, ni sentido, ni valor.
El Amor és Más Fuerte que el Odio ! Hay que trabajar con Amor y saber todo el tiempo escuchar el llamado de Cristo, a vivir con Amor, a defender el Amor, a proponer y defender el Amor, y a ser Seres de Amor y Paz.
Eso és lo que le debemos a esta Nicaragua Nuestra, Nicaragua Nicaragüita, la Flor Más Linda de nuestro querer. Le debemos Amor y Paz ! Y el Amor y la Paz todos los días traducidos es un esfuerzo sostenido para que Nicaragua vaya Adelante, porque és con Amor que Vamos Adelante.
Con Odio, Nunca Más ! El Odio és retroceso, el Odio és bajeza; ser reducidos, ser pequeños, se mezquinos, ser mediocres.
El Amor és Grande y desde esa Gran Iluminación, que és el Cariño y que és el Amor, caminamos cada día Adelante, convencidos de que el Futuro pertenece a la Justicia, que el Futuro és de las Verdades Verdaderas, que el Futuro para esta Nicaragua Nuestra és de Paz y Bienestar, de Avances contra la Pobreza, y de Vida Buena, Alegre, Tranquila y Segura.

Good evening. How much joy we feel when we say «Here is a Patriotic Nation!» For we are certain of being a Patriotic Nation, a Blessed Nation and a Free Nation, a Fraternal, Christian, Solidarity inspired Nation.
Proud, joyful, of this day when we celebrate our Patriotic Nation in Peace, Peace which makes the Nation stronger and stronger, and in this Ceremony we pay tribute to Cardinal Miguel as a Pastor of Reconciliation and Peace, who gave us the banner of Reconciliation in those days of setting out, touring Nicaragua, seeking, promoting, working for Peace, in Reconciliation.
Tribute to the Pastor and Tribute to a Man who was a Saint. There are those who say: And why do they want to make him a Saint? No! It’s not us! His Life is his Holiness, his Life is his Mission, his Example, and here we are maintaining that Path, even as others provoke, even as they harass. But no provocation and no harassment can break a Heart strengthened and determined to do Peace and Good.
A quote from St. Francis of Assisi: Peace and Goodness! Peace for the Well-being of Nicaragua’s Families, Peace so as to work every day for Well-being, to fight against Poverty; for living free from Poverty is the merit of such a Great People, a People that has known how to give everything, everything, for Freedom, for Dignity, and with Dignity, and for Brother and Sisterhood.
Because we are a People of Faith, we are a Christian People and we fulfill that Mandate: To live and love each other as Brothers and Sisters. That’s why I ask: Why are some people surprised that we invoke that Holiness, that Beatitude, that ability to live the Love that we encountered in Cardinal Miguel?
And today we also pay tribute to an Exceptional Person and an Exceptional Human Being who knew how to take that step, the step that allowed us to make the decision for Reconciliation of the Nicaraguan People a reality, to bring about, to meet, to live together, to get along and, above all, to know how to agree, to know how to reach consensus, not to impose, but to agree and reach consensus about what is best for everyone.
Every time Comandante Daniel takes us on the journey through that disastrous 2018, I keep thinking that the greatest sin of human beings is selfishness and, on the other hand, vanity. The selfishness and vanity that makes some people believe, or some people lose their minds really, in seeing a People that lives in peace, happily, safely, and suddenly they just want all that to collapse, out of selfishness, because they want to become once again, just a few enjoying our Country that belongs to Everyone.
Peace…! How we defend, how we protect that Peace, because it blesses us, God blesses us when we are a People of Peace, which is to be a People of God.
That’s why I say, whenever we remember those moments, that we know we must fight within ourselves against selfishness, fight for Sanity that is Tenderness, fight for Love that is Life, fight for Peace that is Certainty, not only Hope, but the Certainty that We are Doing Well and that We are Going Onward, Always Further On, as Sandino taught us. A profound phrase, because it calls on us, summons us all to work more and better every day, to know that we can always do more, work more, and be better as well.e
So today is a good day for our Nicaragua. The decision is reconciliation. The decision is Concord, Peace, Brother and Sisterhood. The decision is Love, and Love is Faith, it is Strength, it is the Great Spirit that manifests itself in each of us and that calls us to be Better… Better Citizens, Better Revolutionaries, Better in our Communities, Better Students, Better Men and Women, Better Workers. To be better at everything we do.
Peace that is Love, and Love is Stronger than Hate! That’s why, when we hear so much nonsense and so much falsehood, we know that this is a tiny, mean expression of Hatred, which it has no place, no meaning, no value.
Love is Stronger than Hate! We must work with Love and know how to listen to Christ’s call all the time, to live with Love, to defend Love, to propose and defend Love, and to be Beings of Love and Peace.
That is what we owe to this Nicaragua of Ours, Nicaraguan Nicaragua, the Most Beautiful Flower of our Love. We owe her Love and Peace! And Love and Peace translated every day is a sustained effort for Nicaragua to move Onward, because it is with Love that We Move Onward.
Hatred, Never Again! Hatred is retrogression, Hatred is baseness; to be diminished, to be small, to be mean, to be mediocre.
Love is great and from its great Enlightenment, which is Affection and which is Love, we make our way oward every day, convinced that the Future belongs to Justice, that the Future is of True Truths, that the Future for this Nicaragua of Ours is one of Peace and Well-being, of Progress against Poverty, and of a Good, Joyful, Calm and Secure Life.
