MANAGUA – NICARAGUA / Este sábado 14 de junio, el Gobierno de Nicaragua emitió un mensaje ante el fallecimiento en Costa Rica de la ex Presidenta de Nicaragua, Doña Violeta Barrios de Chamorro.

DOÑA VIOLETA
Al conocerse la noticia del fallecimiento en Costa Rica de la ex Presidenta de Nicaragua, Doña Violeta Barrios de Chamorro, el Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional reafirma que su figura representó un aporte para la necesaria Paz en nuestro país. Primero, al triunfo de la Revolución, en la Junta de Gobierno de Reconstrucción Nacional, y luego a partir de 1990.
La ex Presidenta Chamorro, postulada para unas elecciones cuyos resultados reflejaron el infinito cansancio y sufrimiento de la guerra impuesta a Nicaragua por los imperialistas de la Tierra, representó la posibilidad de ratificar la conclusión de esa guerra injusta y sangrienta.
Al reconocer su Gobierno nos dispusimos a trabajar tod@s por la estabilidad y la seguridad de la vida de las familias nicaragüenses.
Que descanse en paz, Doña Violeta, y que la paz que resguardamos y defendemos tod@s continúe brillando hermosa en nuestro cielo, para avanzar hacia la liberación de la pobreza.

On learning the news of the death in Costa Rica of former Nicaraguan President, Doña Violeta Barrios de Chamorro, the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity reaffirms the contribution her Figure represented to achieve the necessary Peace in our country.
First, with the Triumph of the Revolution, in the Government Junta of National Reconstruction and then from 1990 onwards.
Former President Chamorro, standing in an election whose results reflected the infinite fatigue and suffering of the war imposed on Nicaragua by the Imperialists of the Earth, offered the possibility of formalizing the conclusion of that unjust and bloody war.
By recognizing her Government, we set out to work for Stability and Security in the Life of Nicaragua’s Families.
Rest in Peace, Doña Violeta, and may the Peace that all of us protect and defend continue to shine in all its beauty in our skies, for us to advance towards Liberation from Poverty.
