El pueblo nicaragüense hizo temblar al mundo al derribar una de las dictaduras más feroces de América Latina, el régimen de Somoza. Lo hizo con coraje, con dignidad y con sangre, en una insurrección popular que marcó la historia de los pueblos que luchan por su libertad.
Hoy, 46 años después de aquella gesta gloriosa, Nicaragua no celebra simplemente una efeméride, conmemora una llama viva que sigue ardiendo en el corazón de quienes no se rinden. La revolución nicaragüense es un legado que no envejece, una lección vigente sobre la capacidad de los pueblos para transformar su destino.
Una revolución que no se arrodilla. El 19 de julio no es una fecha más. Es el símbolo de un pueblo que, harto de la represión, se levantó con la fuerza de la historia en sus manos. En lugar de resignación, eligió la lucha. En lugar de cadenas, eligió la dignidad.
Ese día no amaneció un sol cualquiera: estalló el alba de la libertad. Cayeron los ídolos del poder, no solo por las armas, sino por el grito colectivo de una nación decidida: “¡No moriremos esclavos… libertad o muerte!”
Nicaragua, un llamado a todos los pueblos libres. En este aniversario, Nicaragua alza nuevamente su voz, no para mirar hacia atrás, sino para encender las luchas del presente. Su mensaje es claro: mientras exista injusticia, la revolución sigue viva. No se trata de nostalgia, sino de resistencia. No es recuerdo, es llama.
Es una invitación a los pueblos del mundo, a los combatientes, a los luchadores donde quiera que estén y más allá, a unir sus voces contra el colonialismo moderno, contra el saqueo y contra toda forma de opresión.
La dignidad no se compra con dólares. En un mundo dominado por el capital, los medios manipuladores y los ejércitos mercenarios, Nicaragua responde con dignidad, conciencia y voluntad inquebrantable.
Ellos tienen bombas. Nosotros tenemos memoria.
Ellos tienen tanques. Nosotros tenemos pueblos despiertos.
La revolución triunfó no porque el enemigo era débil, sino porque el pueblo era más fuerte. No por la falta de armas del opresor, sino por la abundancia de coraje en los corazones libres.
Un mensaje al mundo: la revolución continúa. Nicaragua afirma hoy que su revolución no es una pieza de museo, sino una promesa viva. Una promesa con los mártires, con los campesinos, con los niños que nacen bajo el signo de la dignidad. Y si los poderosos intentan volver con su fuerza bruta, el pueblo sabrá responder con la unidad, la organización y la convicción de que los pueblos jamás serán vencidos.
A 46 años del 19 de julio, Nicaragua no solo honra su pasado, sino que lo transforma en presente combativo y en futuro rebelde.
Gloria a los mártires que abrieron el camino.
Honor a un pueblo que jamás se rinde.
Y victoria para todos los que creen que la libertad no se pide: ¡se conquista!

On a day like today, July 19th 1979, the Nicaraguan people made the world tremble by overthrowing one of the most ferocious dictatorships in Latin America, the Somoza regime. They did so with courage, with dignity, with their blood, in a popular insurrection that marked the history of the world’s Peoples fighting for their freedom.

Today, 46 years after that glorious feat, Nicaragua is not simply celebrating an anniversary, it is commemorating a living flame that continues burning brightly in the hearts of those who never surrender. The Nicaraguan Revolution is a legacy that never grows old, a constant lesson about the ability of peoples to transform their destiny.
A Revolution that kneels to no one. July 19th is not just another date. It is the symbol of a people, fed up with repression, who rose up with the force of history in their hands. Instead of resignation, they chose struggle. Instead of chains, they chose dignity.
No ordinary Sun dawned that day: the dawn of freedom broke. The idols of power tumbled, not only because of weapons, but thanks to the collective cry of a determined nation: «We will not die as slaves… freedom or death!”
Nicaragua was a call to all free Peoples. On this anniversary, Nicaragua raises its voice again, not to look back, but to ignite the struggles of the present. Her message is clear: as long as there is injustice, the Revolution lives on. It’s not about nostalgia, but about resistance. It’s not a memory, it’s a burning flame.
It is an invitation to the Peoples of the world, to all the combatants and fighters, wherever they are and beyond, to unite their voices against modern colonialism, against pillage, against every form of oppression.
Dignity is not bought with dollars. In a world dominated by capital, manipulative media and mercenary armies, Nicaragua answers with dignity, conscience and unwavering will.
They have bombs. We have memory.
They have tanks. We have People of conscience.
The Revolution triumphed not because the enemy was weak, but because the People were stronger. Not because of the oppressor’s lack of weapons, but because of the abundance of courage in free hearts.

A message to the world, the Revolution continues. Nicaragua affirms today that the Revolution is not a museum piece, but a living promise. A promise for the martyrs, for the peasant families, for the children born now under the sign of dignity. And if the powerful try to return by brute force, the People will know how to respond with unity, organization and the conviction that the Peoples will never be defeated.
After 46 years, always July 19th, Nicaragua not only honors its past, but transforms it into a combative present and a rebellious future.
Glory to the Martyrs who paved the way.
Honor to a People that never surrenders.
And Victory for all those who believe that freedom is not to be asked for, but conquered!
