KINGSTOWN – SAN VICENTE Y LAS GRANADINAS / El Gobierno de Nicaragua a través del Compañero Valdrack Jaentschke, Ministro Asesor del Presidente de la República para Políticas y Asuntos Internacionales; brindó un mensaje en la VIII Cumbre de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno de la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños (CELAC), este 1 de marzo.

  • Primer Ministro de San Vicente y Las Granadinas, Compañero Ralph Gonsalves, Presidente Pro Tempore, de la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños (CELAC),
  • Presidentes, Primeros Ministros, Vicepresidentes, Ministros de Relaciones Exteriores
    y Jefes de Delegación de los Estados Miembros de la CELAC,
  • Representantes de Organizaciones Regionales e Internacionales,

Compañeras y Compañeros:

  1. Venimos desde Nicaragua, Bendita, Digna y Siempre Libre, para trasladarles el saludo fraterno y el Mensaje del Presidente de la República, Comandante Daniel Ortega y la Vicepresidenta, Compañera Rosario
  1. A Nicaragua y a San Vicente y las Granadinas, nos une este espacio vital del Mar Caribe, nos une la historia compartida de nuestros Pueblos, especialmente la Cultura Garífuna, llegada desde San Vicente a las costas de Centroamérica junto a la inspiración de su líder Joseph Chatoyer.
  1. Nos une la fuerza y el espíritu de nuestros valientes Hombres y Mujeres que supieron luchar en el Pasado contra la opresión, inspirándonos para seguir luchando contra los Imperialistas de la Tierra.
  1. Soñamos una Comunidad de América Latina y Caribeña unida, solidaria, en cooperación, teniendo como guía los Principios de Soberanía, Independencia y No Injerencia en los Asuntos Internos de los Estados. Pero la realidad es que estamos frente a los intentos del Imperialismo de continuar sus prácticas colonialistas y neocoloniales, amenazando la Unidad de nuestra Región.
  1. Es llamativo que esta Reunión de la CELAC se desarrolla en un Estado Insular, que junto al resto de Estados Insulares del Caribe y las zonas costeras bajas de Centroamérica sufrimos las consecuencias del Sistema Capitalista depredador y destructor del medio ambiente.
  1. Nuestros Países Latinoamericanos y Caribeños, que contribuyen menos a las emisiones globales de efecto invernadero, enfrentan las repercusiones más severas del Cambio Climático: Sequías prolongadas, fenómenos meteorológicos extremos, elevación del nivel del mar y pérdida de la biodiversidad, son solo algunos de las amenazas que limitan nuestro desarrollo, seguridad alimentaria, acceso al agua potable, salud pública, y ponen en peligro la vida de nuestros Pueblos.
  1. Nuestro País ha reiterado la urgencia de acciones para combatir el Cambio Climático y demandamos Justicia Climática. Mantenemos la posición de exigir mayores ambiciones, que se correspondan con la realidad demostrada por la Ciencia, en línea con las Responsabilidades Comunes pero Diferenciadas y Capacidades Respectivas, fortaleciendo la Justicia Climática y la indispensable Política de Reparaciones. Estamos en un punto en que se hace imperativo convocarnos para la defensa de la vida en el Planeta.
  1. Rechazamos categóricamente las medidas coercitivas unilaterales que tienen un impacto negativo en diversos ámbitos de nuestros Países en lo económico, en el desarrollo y en aspectos sociales que afectan directamente los Derechos Humanos de nuestros habitantes.
  2. El interés de los Países capitalistas por apoderarse de las riquezas naturales de nuestros Pueblos es la razón detrás de estas medidas unilaterales. Países imperialistas que se dicen defensores de los Derechos Humanos, pero ellos han sido los mayores violadores de los Derechos Humanos en la Historia de la Humanidad.
  1. El mismo sistema que trata de impedir el desarrollo digno de nuestros Pueblos, es el que ha causado el flagelo del hambre y la desnutrición en el Mundo. Por eso es se hace prioritario trabajar en nuestro espacio por la Soberanía Alimentaria, en línea con la erradicación del hambre, la pobreza y las desigualdades.
  1. El Pueblo nicaragüense junto a los Pueblos del Mundo queremos la Paz y Seguridad Internacional, pero éstas se ven amenazadas por las grandes potencias como Estados Unidos y sus aliados.
  1. Seguimos siendo testigos de terribles crímenes y genocidio cometidos y patrocinados por Estados imperialistas que nos quieren dar lecciones de democracia.
  1. El sistema imperialista y capitalista desata guerras, comete crímenes de lesa humanidad, es culpable de genocidios y ataques atómicos contra pueblos inocentes e El mismo sistema capitalista, agrede, saquea y destruye sin pena, y mucho menos gloria.
  1. Son los mismos que tienen en su historia criminal haber instalado el negocio del tráfico trasatlántico de esclavos, uno de los más atroces crímenes cometidos en contra de la Humanidad al secuestrar Comunidades enteras de Pueblos africanos para convertirlos en mercancías y arrastrarlos a través del Océano, para servir a sus propósitos de acumulación y avaricia.
  1. El llamado desarrollo del que se quieren ufanar Europa y Estados Unidos se erige sobre la sangre, el sudor y el sufrimiento de nuestros Hermanos africanos secuestrados y sometidos a la esclavitud.
  1. Esos mismos Estados Capitalistas quieren venir a dar hoy lecciones de desarrollo. Lo que deben hacer es reconocer e implementar, sin condiciones, las justas reparaciones a nuestros Pueblos Originarios y Afrodescendientes que han sufrido sus políticas coloniales y neocoloniales.
  1. Practicas colonialistas e imperialistas de genocidio como el que hoy está siendo víctima el Pueblo Palestino. Nicaragua condena de la forma más enérgica el genocidio perpetrado por el Estado de Israel y sus patrocinadores en contra del pueblo Palestino y adoptaremos todas las medidas que se consideren apropiadas, de conformidad con el Derecho Internacional, incluido el recurso a la Corte Internacional de Justicia, para garantizar el respeto a la Convención contra el Genocidio.
  1. El Gobierno de Reconciliación y Unidad Nacional notificó el pasado 1 de Febrero de 2024 a los Gobiernos del Reino Unido, Alemania, Países Bajos y Canadá su decisión de responsabilizarlos, conforme al Derecho Internacional, por violaciones flagrantes y sistemáticas a la Convención para la Prevención y la Sanción del Delito de Genocidio, el Derecho Internacional Humanitario y el Derecho Consuetudinario, incluida la ilegal ocupación en los Territorios Palestinos, en particular la Franja de Gaza, instando a estos Gobiernos a detener de inmediato el suministro a Israel de armas, municiones, tecnología y componentes.
  1. Por muy dura que sea la situación actual de agresión al Pueblo Palestino, tenemos la certeza, la convicción y la confianza de que la Paz vencerá las políticas imperialistas.
  1. Una vez más reiteramos nuestro decidido apoyo y compromiso con la Hermana República de Cuba, en su lucha contra el embargo económico inhumano impuesto por Estados Unidos desde 1962.
  1. Nos solidarizamos con la Hermana República Bolivariana de Venezuela, en su lucha por la Dignidad y Defensa de su Pueblo frente a las agresiones de potencias extranjeras.
  1. Saludamos con entusiasmo la Cumbre del Foro China-CELAC, estamos seguro de que este mecanismo y plataforma de diálogo y sus iniciativas serán una buena oportunidad para intercambiar y abrir nuevos puentes de cooperación.
  1. Saludamos las iniciativas para el fortale-cimiento de las relaciones con la Unión Africana (UA).
  1. Transmitimos el reconocimiento de nuestro Pueblo y Gobierno a la labor de coordinación de la Presidencia Pro Tempore/San Vicente y las Granadinas.
  1. Nuestros mejores deseos de éxitos a la Hermana República de Honduras en su ejercicio de PPT-CELAC. Podrá contar con el apoyo y buena voluntad del Pueblo y Gobierno de Nicaragua.
  1. Nicaragua continuará en el camino trazado por los Libertadores y Próceres de Nuestramérica Latina y Caribeña, avanzando en la CELAC, bajo las premisas de Unidad en la Diversidad, la Integración Regional y la Defensa de la Libertad, Soberanía, Autodeterminación y Justicia Social de nuestros Pueblos.

Comrades All :

  1. We come from Nicaragua, Blessed, Worthy and Sovereign, to convey to you the fraternal greetings and the Message of the President of the Republic, Comandante Daniel Ortega and the Vice President, Comrade Rosario Murillo.
  1. Nicaragua and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are united by this important space which is the Caribbean Sea, are united by the shared history of our peoples, especially the Garifuna Culture, which arrived from Saint Vincent to the coasts of Central America along with the inspiration of its leader Joseph Chatoyer.
  1. We are united by the strength and spirit of our brave men and women who knew how to fight against oppression in the past, inspiring us to continue fighting against the imperialists of the earth.
  1. We dream of a united, supportive and cooperative Latin American and Caribbean Community, guided by the principles of sovereignty, independence and non-interference in the internal affairs of States. But the reality is that we are facing the attempts of Imperialism to continue its colonialist and neocolonial practices, threatening the unity of our region.
  1. It is remarkable that this CELAC meeting is been held in an Island State, which together with the rest of the Island States of the Caribbean and the low coastal areas of Central America suffer the consequences of the predatory and environmentally destructive Capitalist System.
  1. Our Latin American and Caribbean countries, which contribute the least to global greenhouse emissions, face the most severe impacts of climate change: Prolonged droughts, extreme weather events, rising sea levels and loss of biodiversity are just some of the threats that limit our development, food security, access to drinking water, public health, and endanger the lives of our Peoples.
  1. Our country has reiterated the urgency of measures to fight against climate change and we demand climate justice. We maintain the position of demanding greater ambitions, which correspond to the reality demonstrated by science, in line with the Common but Differentiated Responsibilities and Respective Capacities, strengthening Climate Justice and the indispensable Reparations Policy. We are at a point where it is imperative to convene in order to defend life on the planet.
  1. We categorically reject unilateral coercive measures which have a negative impact on the economy, development and social aspects of our countries, directly affecting the human rights of our inhabitants.
  1. The interest of capitalist countries in taking over the natural wealth of our Peoples is the reason behind these unilateral The Imperialist countries that claim to be Human Rights defenders, instead, they have been the greatest in violating Human Rights in the History of Humanity.
  1. The same system that intends to prevent the dignified development of our peoples is the one that has caused the scourge of hunger and malnutrition in the world. That is why it is a priority to work in our space for food sovereignty, in line with the eradication of hunger, poverty and inequalities.
  1. The Nicaraguan People, along with the Peoples of the World, want international Peace and security, but these are threatened by great powers such as the United States and its allies.
  1. We continue to witness terrible crimes and genocide committed and sponsored by imperialist states that intend to teach us lessons on democracy.
  1. The imperialist and capitalist system unleashes wars, commits crimes against humanity, and is guilty of genocides and atomic attacks against innocent and defenseless peoples. The capitalist system itself attacks, plunders and destroys without pain, much less glory.
  1. They are the same ones who, in their criminal history, have established the transatlantic slave trade business, one of the most atrocious crimes committed against humanity by kidnapping entire communities of African peoples to turn them into merchandise and drag them across the Ocean, to serve their purposes of accumulation and greed.
  1. The so-called development that Europe and the United States want to boast about is built on the blood, sweat and suffering of our African sisters and brothers kidnapped and subjected to slavery.
  1. Those same Capitalist States want to come and teach development lessons today. What they must do is recognize and implement, without conditions, fair reparations to our indigenous and Afro-descendant peoples who have suffered their colonial and neocolonial policies.
  1. Colonialist and imperialist practices of genocide like the one that the Palestinian people are being victims today. Nicaragua condemns, in the strongest terms, the genocide perpetrated by the State of Israel and its sponsors against the Palestinian people and we will adopt all measures deemed appropriate, in accordance with International Law, including the appeal to the International Court of Justice to guarantee respect for the Convention against Genocide.
  1. On February 1st, 2024, the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity notified the governments of the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and Canada of its decision to hold them responsible, in accordance with International Law, for flagrant and systematic violations of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, International Humanitarian Law and Customary Law, including the illegal occupation of Palestinian Territories, in particular the Gaza Strip, urging these Governments to immediately stop the supply of weapons, ammunition, technology and components to
  1. No matter how harsh the current situation of aggression against the Palestinian People may be, we have the certainty, conviction and confidence that Peace will defeat imperialist policies.
  1. Once again we reiterate our determined support and commitment to the sister Republic of Cuba, in its fight against the inhumane economic embargo imposed by the United States since 1962.
  1. We stand in solidarity with the Sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in its fight for the Dignity and Defense of its People against the aggression of foreign powers.
  1. We enthusiastically welcome the China-CELAC Forum Summit, we are confident that this dialogue mechanism and platform and its initiatives will be a good opportunity to exchange and open new bridges of cooperation.
  1. We welcome the initiatives to strengthen relations with the African Union (AU).
  1. We convey the recognition of our People and Government to the coordination work of the Pro Tempore Presidency/Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
  1. Our best wishes for success to the sister Republic of Honduras in exercising its PPT-CELAC. You will be able to count on the support and good will of the People and Government of Nicaragua.
  1. Nicaragua will continue on the path outlined by the Liberators and Heroes of Our Latin America and the Caribbean, advancing in CELAC under the premises of unity in diversity, regional integration and the defense of Freedom, Sovereignty, Self-determination and Social Justice of our
